Will Taxnic complement my web browser? |

In order to enjoy all the features built in Taxnic, the following web browsers are suggested in this version.
- For Windows OS, we support Microsoft Internet Explorer v6.0+, Mozilla FireFox v2.0+, Netscape v6.0+, Apple Safari and Google Chrome;
- For Mac OS, we support Safari, Netscape, FireFox, Opera and OmniWeb;
- For Linux/Unix, we support Opera, Mozilla and Firefox.

How much does Taxnic cost? |

- Free calculation. No payment until NETFILE or Print.
- If you are single and the total income of line 150 is less than $20,000, it's free!
- If you are married/common-law and the total of family income(total of line 150) is less than $25,000, it's free!
- Otherwise, $6.99 for first return, $5.00/return for second and third returns, free for other returns.

Does Taxnic support my province/territory? |

Taxnic supports all tax returns that filing to CRA (Canada Revenue Agency), including federal, 10 provinces and 3 territories in Canada. Taxnic does not support Quebec provincial tax return in this year.

How will Taxnic benifit my business? |

Taxnic can be used for all types of the business activities including rental, business, professional, commission, farming and fishing. Taxnic is designed to complement most of the tax forms and slips used in your particular business. Taxnic does not apply to AgriStability and AgriInvest programs (T1163, T1273) in this year.

How many tax returns can I create with Taxnic? |

CRA has required that Software Products certified under the NETFILE Certification Program shall limit the number of returns which may be filed either electronically or in hard copy form to a maximum number of twenty (20) returns. With one installation of Taxnic for Windows or one account in Taxnic Online, you can create up to 20 tax returns.

How do I print my tax return? |

Once your tax return is verified as correct and you have made a payment, you can print your tax return using the program Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Can I use Taxnic to NETFILE my tax return? |

A: |
No. Actually there are two steps to NETFILE your tax return. First step, you must prepare your tax return and generate .tax file with Taxnic for Windows or Taxnic Online. But you cannot NETFILE your return directly using Taxnic. Second step, you use CRA's NETFILE website to file your tax return.

Can tax professional use Taxnic? |

No. Taxnic is built for individuals who prepare their own tax returns, or returns for a limited number of relatives and friends only. The tax file generated by Taxnic can only be used NETFILE. Tax professional cannot use NETFILE to file tax returns on behalf of their clients. They must use EFILE.

- You can remove all your tax data from Taxnic.ca after file your return and get Notice of Assessment from CRA.
